For our grand finale\u2026drumroll<\/em>\u2026 Quantitative Reasoning!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I mean come on the OAT doesn\u2019t have to be complete torture\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s actually pretty fitting that this the final breakdown post since Quantitative Reasoning is the last section you\u2019ll face come OAT day! There will be 40 questions and you have 45 minutes!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this section you will be given a basic four-function calculator like the one below:<\/p>\n

The ADA says the Quant Reasoning section \u201cmeasures the examinee\u2019s ability to reason with numbers, to manipulate numerical relationships, and to deal intelligently with quantitative materials.\u201d What does that mean exactly?<\/p>\n

Here are the topics covered in the Quant Reasoning Section:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

– Algebra<\/strong> including equations and expressions, inequalities, exponential notation, \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0absolute value, ratios and proportions, and graphical analysis<\/p>\n

– Numeric calculations<\/strong> including fractions and decimals, percentages, approximations, and scientific notation<\/p>\n

– Conversions <\/strong>including temperature, time, weight, and distance<\/p>\n

– Probability and Statistics<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Geometry<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Trigonometry<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just like the other sections, time is the enemy and although the concepts may seem simple they can get tricky.<\/p>\n
